Privacy Policy

Personal privacy is important to Simläran, which strives for a high level of data protection. This privacy policy contains information about how Simläran collects and processes personal data, as well as your rights and how you can assert them. You are always welcome to contact Simläran if you have questions about how Simläran processes personal data.

What is a personal data and what is a processing of personal data?

Personal data is all information about a person that can be directly or indirectly linked to that person. Such data includes, among other things, name, social security number, home address, picture, IP address or email address. Processing of personal data is what happens with the personal data in IT systems. This concerns, for example, collection, registration, organization, storage, processing, transmission, destruction, extraction, reading or adjustment.

What personal data is collected and why?

Simläran collects information when you, for example, register for the courses offered or contact us with various types of questions. In essence, Simläran collects your name, email address, IP address, telephone number, purchase, order and usage history as well as information you provide via Simläran's customer service. When booking lessons for a child, the child's name is also included in Simläran's processing of personal data. The personal data Simläran collects about you will be used to:

- Administer business purposes

- Provide you with services and inform you about new services, products or events

- Comply with rules in law

- To evaluate and improve our offer to, and communication with, customers

- Keep statistics

- Provide data for advertising purposes

- Develop the business and the services offered

- Actors who are personal data assistants or independent personal data controllers

In certain situations, it is necessary for Simläran to engage other parties such as IT providers for electronic services such as booking and checkout systems. They are then personal data assistants for us. Simleran checks personal data processors to ensure that they guarantee the security and confidentiality of personal data. When personal data assistants are hired, it is only for the purposes that are compatible with the purposes Simläran itself has for the processing. It is Simläran that is fully responsible towards you for such assistance. Your personal data may also be shared with certain other actors who are independently responsible for personal data, such as the Swedish Tax Agency, the police or other authorities, in the event of a criminal investigation or when we are obliged to release such data based on law or authority decision. In these cases, that organization's Privacy Policy and personal data management apply.

How long are your personal data saved?

Your personal data is never saved longer than is necessary for the respective purpose. The information we collect about you will be saved during our business relationship and Simläran will delete your personal information after three years from the end of the business relationship. Due to national legislation, some information in the bookkeeping still needs to be saved for at least 7 years. Such requirements appear, for example, in accounting laws or tax legislation.

What are your rights as a data subject?

As a registered user, you have a number of rights according to current data protection laws. For example, you have the right to receive an extract that shows which personal data we have registered about you. You can request correction of incorrect data and in some cases deletion. You can also request that Simläran limit its processing of your personal data or object to the processing of your personal data. In cases where the processing of your personal data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time. You also have the right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority if you believe that your personal data has been processed in violation of applicable data protection legislation.
